Alan Robertson

Based in Edinburgh, Alan is a Partner with Maven Capital Partners a leading UK private equity firm focused on the SME market. Alan is responsible for sourcing and executing new equity investments with a particular focus on development capital investment in high growth disruptive businesses. Following an investment, Alan works with investee management teams to support on strategy and growth and holds a number of board seats.

Alan joined Maven in July 2012 from Quayle Munro, where he had been recruited to help establish a Debt Advisory and Corporate Finance business in Scotland. Prior to this Alan spent seven years with RBS predominately working in the Oil & Gas Structured Finance team financing mid-market private equity transactions. He latterly had responsibility for a portfolio of large corporate and leveraged clients.

Alan holds an Honours degree in Accountancy from the University of Glasgow and is a Chartered Accountant – qualifying with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS) through the unconventional TOPP scheme during his time with RBS.
